6/13/2007Well, it's now Wednesday and things are still perking along nicely. At work last night, my 2 battling officers did quarrel. Nothing too serious. No blood or anything. (I guess they are just determined to hate each other!)  I interceded early and put a stop to their nonsense, at least for last night. the rest of the shift went smooth.I still feel lucky so I bought a powerball ticket. (Of course I always feel lucky)  Who knows?...if my numbers come up tonight my shift will end early as I scamper to catch the next flight to Hawaii.( Even though I feel lucky, I still haven't packed my bags.)If things don't work out with the powerball, I can still go to some exotic (sounding) places!! I could go to Mexico, Cuba, or Lebanon (Missouri) ...or how about Cairo (Illinois)?  If I feel like I need a "jolt" I can even go to Bourbon (also Missouri). All these choices within a day's drive.  talk about being in the center of the universe!!In any event, I'm now down to 11 more working days... the countdown continues.Be well,tom
