6/9/2007Only 13 more working days to go and my 26 year career in corrections is over. (I've done more time in jail than many murderers) I wonder if the world is ready for me full time? Ready or not, here I come.I really appreciate how my job is making it easier for me to go without regrets by really heaping on the work. (thanks guys) Last night was extremely busy and the Intake Area was overcrowded in a big way. they just kept bringing in one van full of new inmates after another. Crime is really a growth industry... At least around here.My shift has recently undergone significant personnel changes. As a result I have 2 officers on the shift that can not stand each other and are already at each other's throat. they have written each other up once in the last week and show every sign that this is just the beginning. (Big, big sigh!!) I'm going to call them into my office and speak with them tonight. Hopefully I'll be able to end this nonsense but I'm not real optimistic. they are both hard headed ...talented but stubborn. Why did I think my last few weeks would be stress free? Oh well, as I said earlier, only 13 more work days to go. It promises to be interesting.Be well, tom

You\'ll have to be careful that the anxiety doesn\'t build into another attack. It\'s a real contributing factor in Nick\'s asthma.
