6/5/2007I've been running around again today. the retirement office needed birth certificates for myself and my wife. (I guess you can't be too careful. you don't want to be handing out pensions to some stranger just because they hang around for 26 years. It could be anybody!) I looked around the house and, of course, could not find those records. As a result, I wound up going to one office for the birth certificates and then go back to the retirement office with the certificates. that ate up an entire morning!! Oh well, I only have to do it once.I return to work tonight. I am going to try to work 2 nights, take a night off, and then work 2 more nights and then take 2 days off . I plan to keep this schedule each of my remaining weeks. In this way I hope to minimize fatigue and exposure to triggers for my final 4 weeks. Maybe I can avoid another attack. If I do have another attack, I am not even going to try to return. I have enough sick leave to cover myself in this worst case scenario. the only reason that I'm not using my sick leave now is that I'll get paid for half of my remaining sick leave when I retire. If I get sick again, though, I won't push things any further. Hey, it's only money. I also don't want to leave them in a bind.(damn my sense of responsibility!!).I had to put the toilet paper holder back on the wall in the downstairs bathroom. How it had been pulled off of the wall is a mystery since no one accepts responsibility for it. I guess the cat did it. Whille this new development in the cat's repertoire is exciting , ..("Look Chauncey, a cat using a toilet. that's something you don't see everyday!!") ..she still needs a little more training. ("Ah, that's not so much, Wibert! She pulls the toilet paper holder off the wall each time she uses it. I bet my dog could do better!!")I've completed all this and now I'm going to rest before I go to work.Be well, tom

Talented cat. We have a troglodyte that lives in the coal mine in the basement. It only comes out when no one\'s around to see and it is a prankster. It\'s also very sloppy in the kitchen, moves furniture, hides things--like Nick\'s brand new glasses, throws things in the floor and takes things to it\'s lair. No one has ever been able to catch it as it goes about it\'s business while we sleep, unless it\'s got magical powers and can morph into and out of a room while it\'s tenants are there. Maybe it\'s invisible or has a cloak of invisibity. I know it\'s lived here ever since we moved in and is much more active when there\'s a bunch of children living here.
