Sometimes being needed is not all it's cracked up to be. At work I just completed a double shift. It seems that the Day Shift Supervisor had a vacation day and nobody knew about it. Nobody planned for coverage either. So there I was ,eagerly anticipating relief that never came. Since I had no choice, of course I volunteered to stay. It wasn't too bad for a Friday Night/Saturday Morning.

Although we were busy we only had one butthead come in. He was in his 20's,royally drunk and had beaten his parents. When the police arrived at their home he tried to fight them. As a result he had been pepper sprayed. A lot.
He came in, drunk, angry, uncooperative and reeking of pepper spray. When the supervisor(me) was called to the Intake Area, I was stopped by one of my officers to keep me away from the area. He advised me of the peppper spray and I sent other officers to the scene. that was a close call. It's good that my staff looks out for me but I hate not being able to be there for them. Damn asthma.

I must say the double shift certainly takes it of you. I'm beat. Not much else to say now.
Good Night.

Well you made through a double shift withou an attack. That\'s good. I imagine you job was difficult enough pre-asthma. You should rest well after such a strenous night.
