Who needs an 8 hour day? they are highly overrated if you ask me. to support my contention I came home after 5.5 hours. By then I had completed all my work,(or at least all the work I was going to complete this day)
I started in on the old bone jarring cough at around 3:15 am. I did not get much relief with my inhaler while there, so it was time to leave. Boss won't be happy but it can't be helped. I'm going to try again tonight. I might even make it through a full shift. Shock 'em all.
Once home, I gave myself a breathing treatment and everything has settled down. No ER for this fella today.
I'm trying to hang on until at least July 1st. After that anything else is gravy. I hope things settle down enough to be able to pull this off.
Oh well, tomorrow's another day.

You seem to be having more problems. You could have developed new allergies to whatever they\'re using to clean. You know you can develop new allergies at any time. You are chagrined at not finising your shift, at least it wasn\'t finished in the ER. July isn\'t that far off. What will you do if you decide to retire? You have any thing that you\'ve been waiting to do? Andrew wants to ride his motorcycle cross country. Do you have a hobby. I don\'t know anything about you.
I\'ve been fortunate in that I\'ve done most of what I wanted to do. I really like travel and in the last 10 years I have been lucky enough to travel quite a bit.
My favorite was the trip to Ireland.10 years ago 2 of my children, my wife and myself took an escorted tour of Ireland through CIE. While there we saw some of my wife\'s second cousins in Galway and Dublin. I particularly remember her second cousin John. He was 82,a confirmed bachelor, and living with his \"younger\" sister Anne.(79) While at his thatched cottage with its peat fire stove, he was in great spirits playing host. He asked me if I wanted another beer and I passed because I was driving. (We had rented a car for a few days while in Dublin. Driving on the left side of the road is interesting.) Misunderstanding what I meant (deliberately?)he said \"No beer? Ahhh, whisky then, you\'re a man after my own heart!\" and proceeded to give me a tumbler full! It\'s a different world over there.
My wife and I have also been to California (2), Colorado(often), Cape Cod and Boston, Arizona, Florida, Niagara Falls, as well as our cruise of the Hawaiian Islands.
We also took a tour of Europe though Cosmos(2000) which had brief stops in London, Belgium, Lucerne and Lugano Switzerland, Venice, Florence, Rome, Nice, Monaco, Lyon and Paris.( My wife really enjoyed touring the Vatican.) We returned to London for a full week in 2002. But enough of the travelogue. (I really, really like travel) My theory on all this was \"WE have the money. the kids are grown. Let\'s do it! After all, no one is promised tomorrow.\"
Once I retire I\'m sure that I\'ll be at loose ends for a while. I may renew my membership in the VFW and see what they do. I joined at the urging of an acquaitance during a membership drive about 15 years ago. Never had the time to participate before.
I also may coach baseball again. I played until I was 32 locally and then coached and managed for another 12 years. I really do enjoy the
game. I must first get a handle on asthma then we\'ll see. Working with kids is fun though. (Managing men,which I have also done,not so much)
I may even get a part time job. A little extra money is nice and it would be something to do. time will tell.
