5/1/07 Part III
Well, the doctor's office called back and I go into see them on thursday. Pretty quick for a specialist. (It must be a slow day)
I took off family leave for tonight and for tomorrow. My boss may not like it...but screw him.(there are some advantages to having already qualified for your "rule of 80" ) I'm not risking a relapse or setback until I see the pulmonologist.
Actually this should be a workmen's comp situation but they would deny it because of my asthma.to get them to do the right thing I would have to sue them. I may still do that depending on their attitude.
After my nap,(which I must have needed because I do feel batter), I called the hospital and praised the ER personnel who helped me on Sunday Morning. their boss was quite pleased and said they would all be officially commended. I'm glad. they deserve it. they were all really terrific.
(besides, the way things are going I'll probably see them again. Might as well stay on their good side) All kidding aside, they were really great.
I'm starting to feel like my old self but it is taking longer than anticipated. I bounced back much faster in January.
Hmm, a thunderstorm is rolling in. I guess I'll sit back and watch the fireworks. Goodness knows I don't have anything else to do. ( I really hate being grounded!!)
Maybe I should get a rocking chair and sit on the porch and whittle something. Be like the old timers in the movies. ("you think this is a storm boy?...Shucks, this is nothin'!...Back in '93, now that was a storm!)
Oh well, enough rambling.
Be well,
tom

I have a swing on my porch. I want a set of matching rocking chairs for me and Andrew. He rocks faster than I do. I wish we would have some really good storms. I love when the lightening is near enough that it makes the mountains echo the rumbling and the windows rattle in their frames. I\'m not crazy about the power going out, but sometimes that\'s nice with the candle light.
