Day 2 of my involuntary house arrest. I find that I have far too much energy and not enough stamina to follow through on things thanks to my recent asthma attack and my subsequent prescribed regimen of rest and prednisone.

to better describe it, I'll use experiences from most American Males misspent teen age years. It's like when you get your first real "muscle" car. you've worked on it and tweaked it and nursed it along until it looks and sounds great. you drive it to town and are ready, and I mean ready, for anything. you come to a stoplight and another guy pulls up beside you in his revved up machine. you look up, lock eyes, and you know...it's on !! you both are at the ready, fully alert, hearts and engines racing!! An adrenalin junkies wet dream. you never felt so ALIVE !! Both engines are rumbling and sounding great. Suddenly the light changes...both drivers pop the clutch...your rival's machine zooms off in a frenzy of screeching tires and burning rubber and your machine..your baby..just stalls out. (Goodness, this entry was pretty exciting. Ah,memories)

And that's how I feel today. Like the machine, I look and sound fine. the pred has me pumped up and raring to go but when I get moving I, like the muscle car, stall out. It's a little frustrating. But today I'll be good even though my engines racing. I'll follow my prescribed regimen of rest until my symptoms subside...but it's hard.

I haven't changed all that much since I was that teen ager in some ways...I still hate being grounded!!!

you'll probably see more entries today since I have all this nervous energy and far too much time on my hands.

Be well,
tom

Well, that\'s one benefit of your lack of stamina. More Tom online. I\'m evil to reap the benefits of your illness. I guess you really are grounded, that sucks. I\'m all for anything that keeps you writing!
