Hmmm, taking a little longer to bounce back this time. I don't understand it but launching Old tom may have to be rescheduled.
this is somewhat a surprise.
All systems seemed to be go early on today.
Prednisone boost?...Check
Clear skies? ....Check
Honey to do list?...Check
Feeling good?....Check
Determination?....Double Check
All seemed ideal for a successful venture for our plucky hero (me).
However ,on launch sequence, the once reliable workhorse of the fleet kept shutting down. Something to do with oxygen supply and body fatigue.
What a disappointment for the huge crowd gathered for the launch.(Wife and cat)Not deterred, they immediately started on their power naps in hopes of being there early for tomorrow's rescheduled launch. their dedication is remarkable.
However, there may have been some hint of today's problems earlier. Following emergency repair and maintenance on the old body on Sunday, the technician (doctor) did recommend delaying the launch for a couple of days.
Our hero (still me) figured that this was just way too cautious and pressed on, leading to today's setback.(It sucks when the technician is right.) No serious damage appears to have been done ,however, and tomorrow promises sunny skies.
At this time, tomorrow's mission is still go,assuming the problems with the air supply corects itself. We are all waiting for countdown,

Hey, did you see that movie? It was great, I thought. You would have been a good addition to the crew. You\'d be the one with the Albuterol pistol on your hip. I shouldn\'t make light of your asthma, but you seem to need to. In case you hadn\'t noticed I like you a lot and hate to see you sick. I guess men must downplay illness to be more manly. I\'ll bet even Clint Eastwood is feeling his age. I don\'t want to offend you, but you should listen to your doctor.

you are probably right. I am having a little problem accepting limits on myself. All my other health issues I have been able to handle and keep on truckin\'. Asthma has brought me to a screeching halt (so far).
In case you haven\'t noticed I am a fairly determined person and this illness has really frustrated me. I have posted a few gloomy and depressing journal entries but then I read it the next day and think \"What a wimp!\" then maybe I do push myself too hard. I just keep trying to increase my stamina as much as possible. But you\'re right. Pushing the envelope (I\'m really into space jargon today) on the heels of a major asthma attack was not too bright. I\'ll have to tone it down some (all right, completely)until I have my followup with the pulmonologist I guess. My wife said the same thing.( you guys must have a union) I\'ll just forget the slogan \"No Pain,No Gain\" for a little bit.
you\'re right about something else. I do deal with setbacks with a sort of gallows humor. I haven\'t forgotten the problem but my humor works on me most of all. It helps me maintain a positive attitude. I know it\'s is corny and self indulgent but I get a kick out of it.
I really appreciate your concern. Don\'t worry. I won\'t do anything (too) foolish.
