I received a mailing from my HMO today. It contained a brochure on how to manage asthma as an adult. (I didn't know I was being immature about it.)
I must commend them on their timing. I have been to the ER 3 times and have had a real struggle getting things to the point where I'm at . Now that the brochure has finally arrived(after only 10 months) ..I'm Saved!! Who needs the pulmonologist? I have a pamphlet!!
to be fair the pamphlet has some useful information for someone who has just been diagnosed with asthma. In my case it's just a little late. I have long since worn out my doctors and burned up the internet getting information. As I'm sure we all have.
Getting this pamphlet now is like telling Caesar on March 18th to beware the Ides of March. Good to know... just a little late.
the packet also had a card from an RN from the HMO. His title was "Complex Case Manager". I had to show it to my wife right away. I said "See, I told you I was complex!!" She just looked at me. She hides her admiration well.
Long night ahead. My Lt. and I have to stay over for the monthly supervisor's meeting in the morning. this is a challenge for me because being in an enclosed room with a lot of other people has triggered attacks in me in the past.
Oh well, wish me luck.

Well my night was a little abreviated. I just wasn\'t breathing right so I stay6ed home. I thought going in among the drunks,thugs and psychos was not a great idea.And that\'s just the staff.(Cheap laugh but I couldn\'t resist)
the truth is I knew the stress at work could cause a major attack and another trip to the ER. Particularly when I was already feeling bad. No sense risking it.
Ah well, tomorrow\'s another day.

You did well to avoid another attack. I\'m so glad I don\'t suffer so with my asthma. But then, I don\'t have the stress you\'re under. The most stressful part of my day is cleaning the birdcage.
