I'm a little angry today. About a month ago a coworker used a heavy duty aerosol cleaner on his desk chair in an office that he shares with me. this caused me to have a major attack and I wound up in the ER. Since this happened on the job and was triggered by an employee I was given a workman's comp referral.

Well, I just found out that they denied the claim. Said it had nothing to do with the job because I have asthma. I'm very upset about their position.I do have asthma but this flare up was caused by the job. I was feeling fine prior to the exposure. I suppose if there is a fire and I'm overcome by smoke while at work then that won't be their fault either. Because I do have insurance I'm only out the $50 copay but it is alarming to see their position. If there was more money
involved I might consider legal options. What a bunch of weasels.

Oh well,my rant is over. Sorry to have subjected you all to this. I do feel better though.

Be well,
tom

My day just gets better and better. I just had an accident in the post office parking lot. It was totally my fault. At first I did not think that I had made contact. I was backing out and did not see the other vehicle. On hearing the other vehicle honk, I stopped. I looked in the mirror and it looked to me as if I missed him. I waved and started to leave but stopped when a lady waved me down. Just when I was going to ask the lady what she wanted, this big guy arrived and started beating on my car window. He then rushed up and started screaming at me. Well, I was already not in the best of moods so I really lit into him(verbally). If he had not startled me that way I would have been more composed. He was the driver of the car I hit. Fortunately his mother was there. She was the owner of the car and was very sweet. She acknowledged that her 45 year old son had emotional issues. I calmed down seeing that her son was not really a threat.(Just a big, fat, dungeons and dragons playing, living in his mama\'s basement jerk!! Ah, I feel better now.) Any way we exchanged info and Mama was very understanding. Meanwhile Mama\'s boy was still huffing and puffing.
I directed a parting shot at the blob and left. Not normally my style but I was upset. No excuse just an explanation.

Of course being this upset triggered an attack. Stupid,Stupid,Stupid!!!I know better.

Oh well, I\'m calming down and am very ashamed of my behavior. I\'m better than that.

totally abashed,
tom

I thank God his Mama was there. I don\'t think that I would have hit him but if he would have rushed at me again who knows? He really did look as if he had lost his mind. Not my best moment.
