Last time I wrote things were a bit unsettled but they seemed to sort themselves out after a couple of days. Anyone have that same problem of symptoms getting worse around about period time?
I've now started reducing my prednisone dosage, under the guidance of my doctor. Currently I'm on 10mg per day. I'm now sleeping through the night which has made all the difference. Still experience side effects from the pred ... there are times when my heart feels like it's going to hammer right out of my chest. I'm sure my blood pressure is higher too.
My blood work was not good mid January, I was extremely dehydrated, my liver enzymes were high, hemoglobin low and protein low. The doctor suggested I eat plent of protein, drink lots of water and continue with the iron supplements I've been taking. The bloodwork was much improved two weeks later.
Right now I'm being careful about what I eat - no raw fruit or veggies, no whole wheat, not much red meat etc. I usually eat chicken or fish and usually white rice, potatoes....I have pasta occasionally but I try to limit things that I think might cause me a problem. I keep a food diary just in case.
I've been traveling these past two weeks with work so the food thing has been challenging.
