We had a great weekend.  It was granddaughter's birthday on Saturday and we went to a waterpark hotel.  It has 6 outdoor and 4 indoor waterparks with 3 wave pools, tons of water slides, a couple of lazy rivers, lots of kiddie play areas, huge hot tubs, a video arcade, and a 3-story kids play area that you have to see to believe.  We all got together there to celebrate her birthday and it was great.  We had gorgeous weather.  Then we all went out to dinner at a Japanese steak house.  You would not believe the chef we had - he was fantastic!!!  He did some unbelievable tricks with the knives and food while he cooked our food at the table - we had such great fun!Today we all went on a horse trail ride through the woods - lasted about 45 minutes - and it was great (at least all except oldest daughter thought so).  My granddaughter is like me when I was a kid - she is obsessed with horses.  She absolutely loves horses.  Her poor mom said she hated the horse riding and never wants to go again, so I guess I'm stuck taking my granddaugter riding from now on - don't know if I can handle it (just kidding - I love it).We were all talking about going back there at Christmas time - maybe all get together and rent one of the bigger cabins and share the cost - the weekend before Christmas.  They have snow tubing in the winter there and lots of indoor pools and slides.  And, they have the big wave pool in the 'dome' - you can get a tan in there year-round.  The cabins have fireplaces and I'll bet they would be decorated for Christmas.  Then we could leave Christmas Eve to come home for church and to get together with the rest of the family.  We're just talking about it as a possibility right now - don't even know if they have any cabins left for that weekend - lots of other people probably have the same idea.Tyler's mom took him home with her and she's taking him to a basketball camp near her home.  She'll pick him up Friday and he's going to play in a 3-on-3 basketball tournament Saturday and Sunday.  Then they're going back to her home for a few days and she'll bring him home the following Thursday.  Just in time for us to take him to his 5-on-5 basketball tournament at Wisconsin Dells on the weekend.  Then the following weekend we have to drive him and his friends to Illinois, for another tournament.  Then, I think I'll finally be done with basketball stuff until probably mid-November when his school basketball season will start.  Football, however, will start in August.
