the down syndrome daughter wouldn't get on the bus today, throwing herself on the ground. I am so depressed in the morning, and find myself growling and pulling her, and slapping her but but she gets more rebellious. i honestly don't know how to handle these tantrums. and dealing with this makes me more depressed.

I do understand...used to do the same...must likely if you are in a rush in the mornings our DS kids do not like rushing...they all do some tantruming...it does get better...word of advise! Don\'t hit, I did it and my son gave me once a look of pain that I will never forget. So instead, I had to get up earlier, not knowing how each day he would wake up, but by having ample time if she did delay it did not hurt my schedule...I do devotionals in the morning with my son, and we pray together for school, teachers and friends...we hug and wait for the school bus now... I know I used to be so depressed, but again, God has been my true helper...he can be yours too!
