It's been a while
It has been awhile since I have been on DS. Things have been good for the most part. I've been very busy with my son who runs track. We have been traveling for meets, Texas, Philadelphia and this week Baltimore MD for the USATF Junior Olympics and then my husband and son will go to Houston Texas for the AAU Junior Olympics. It's been a very good but long season. Expensive because of the travel, airfare, hotel stays and everything else. Long days out in the heat for several days in a row. It may be starting to catch up with me a little. This week I am starting get get this slight numbness/burning sensation on my left side, arm, hand, calf and thigh. It comes a goes and is probably about a 1 or 2 on a scale of 1 to 10. I try not to sleep on my left side because it seems to may the feeling stay longer. I have been waking up feeling like I have sand in my eyes, mainly my left eye which is dry more often. Everything else seems to be okay.
After this weekend track will be over so I will not be outside in the heat all day. As for my son he is doing very well. He qualified in 3 events for USATF (1 individual and 2 relays) and 4 events for AAU ( 2 individual and 2 relays). We are hopeful that he will come home with some medals. There will be kids there from all of the country competing just like the grown folks in the adult version this week lol. I'm excited and will let you all know how he does. I guess I sound like the proud mama. Take care and have a good week.

You have a very good reason to be a proud mama. I\'m glad he is doing so well. I bet it has been expensive all that traveling. I\'m glad you were able to be there to support your son during all this. It is good that he has a sport to keep him busy. They seem to stay out of trouble that way. lol. Good luck and let us know how he did. Take care of yourself too.
Thanks djbritt. Yes, it has been very expensive with all the traveling it was not in the budget at all. The way I deal with it is hoping it will help in the long run in paying for college and that I need to take advantage of the time I have now because I don\'t know what the future hold for me so I am moving while I can. I will keep everyone posted. We are very proud of him.
