DAY 8
I was fine. I was fine today until I began watching videos on NYC and the neighborhood where he grew up. A HUGE WAVE OF SADNESS OVERCAME ME IN AN INSTANT. I was sad that I couldn't ask him at that moment about his childhood.
In my eyes, my dad was always the greatest! This is sooooo hard. I am so sad. I miss him sooo much and i just wish he was still here with me. I want to talk to him!!!!!!!
I will have this void for the rest of my life. I miss him so much. I wish he would give me signs he is with me today. :(

You will catch glimpses of him in the mirror, perhaps at times. I see both my parents in my face from time to time.
You may also hear him in your voice. I catch my mother\'s voice in mine sometimes.
One thing you\'ll learn, as you continue to live, is that life is very, very short. Time, which was once your enemy because it chimed away the time your dad had on Earth, suddenly becomes your friend again...as it chimes the time away until you get to see him again.
What\'s very, very important is for us to reach out for comfort and also to give comfort...because by giving, you also get.
The sum and substance of who we are has been here for eons...and will continue to be. The soul, as well. We\'re travelers, in a number of ways and the journey of life can have some awfully wonderful whistle stops along the way.
You\'ve only just begun to live. Redeem the time and realize that dad wouldn\'t want you to overly grieve.
Just relax...and breathe. Care for yourself and many of these traumatic glimpses will fade away.
