DAY 7

Today is tough. It marks 1 week since my father passed. Yet it seems much longer..so strange. The past week has been interesting. For the most part, I was ok! I felt hopeful about my future. I felt like my father was with me.
A fellow DailyStrength member told me she gets feathers as a sign from her mother. I thought it was unique to her. Never heard that its quite common for people to receive feathers after a loved one has passed. Its a way they say they are with you.
WELL..
I went to church for the first time in a while, just to pray for his soul and give thanks for stopping his suffering. After mass I had a strong urge to go around back to the Virgin Mary statue, where I prayed when he was first admitted to the hospital 3 months ago. Only this time, I said thank you! Thank you for taking away his pain and suffering. And I said please Daddy go be with God, be happy. BUT PLEASE LET ME KNOW YOU ARE ALWAYS WITH ME. I turned around and there was a feather at my foot.
I cried with joy the whole way home. Also my sister in Florida said Daddy is already working up there. Her husband was laid off and wasn't getting any offers. Since he's passed they've been coming in a lot. One even called on a Saturday which is unusual.
Another relative reunited with his estranged ex, son and grandson. I know this is the work of my Daddy.
....But yesterday and today I feel so depressed. I know its one of the stages of grieving. But its so unpleasant. I feel like I have nothing to look forward to. A huge piece of me is missing. It feels like I'll be depressed always no matter where I go.
I hope with time this will change. I know its only been a week.
I miss my Daddy so much!! I love him so much!! I want to yell this so you all can hear! haha. Thank you for all your love and support. Big hug to you all.  <3 :)

If a cruise ship were to sail away from the port and pass over the horizon; it doesn\'t mean that it\'s occupants are having a bad time.
