2023 Corvette Sales, News & Lifestyle

A Mazda Miata or Toyota GR86/Subaru BRZ will beat its fuel economy figures easily. And as we’ve experienced firsthand, a C8 in the city is rather thirsty. Elsewhere, new Engine Appearance packages are available for both the coupe and convertible and the Stingray and Z06 come with new wheel designs. Chevy will also allow Z06 customers to spec the Z07 style aero without requiring the expensive carbon ceramic brakes, a change that can save almost $8,500. Just because it's a sports car, that doesn't mean that Corvette customers aren't deserving of the latest safety technologies.
SpeedKore is better-known for its carbon-fiber Dodge Chargers, among other products, but this is still a nice, lower-key choice for semi-private C8 owners. You can spend tens of thousands Chevrolet C8 Corvette of dollars on hardware without even leaving the Chevy home page. It gets you all of the bells and whistles that matter and keeps the best version of the GT1 seats for daily driving.

It’s much more aggressively styled that its predecessors and has a more prominent rear end. This generation was also the first to carry the Stingray name since 1968. As sporty as the latest Corvette may have looked, its high-performance variants were even more so. The Z06 had a more aggressive aero package, the Grand Sport was wider and the ZR1 added a giant rear wing. By the time the C2 went into production, Chevy knew that only a V-8 would do for its premier model.
Out of all sports cars on the market today, nothing can beat the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette in terms of value. Chevrolet has done something they talked about for years, which is to produce the Corvette as a mid-engine sports car. Not only did this make the C8 Corvette an absolute force to be reckoned with, it also moved it from a sports car to a supercar.

When manufacturers are hard focused on building powerful performance-based vehicles, they don't care much for convertible designs. It is not aerodynamically efficient to drive a supercar with its roof down. The C8 Z06 makes it a possibility by providing drivers with a convertible variant. This makes the Corvette C8 Z06 an even more sought after car for supercar lovers.
This makes it the perfect choice for high-performance vehicles like the Corvette C8 Z06. When building a supercar, no chances can be taken in terms of agility and weight distribution. Chevrolet knew this and made sure to focus on fine-tuning the C8 Z06 with the best carbon wheels, FE7 suspension with specific Magnetic Ride Control. This means the car doesn't care what comes in its path, whether it is curbs or crests, the suspension lets you have a smooth driving experience.
I think the most power you could get out of any Vette model at this time was 210. The drivetrain's stats sound good on paper but one tight corner in the C8 reveals just how much the mid-mounted engine takes a metaphorical backseat to driving dynamics. Even with the traction control fully on, breaking the rear end a little loose feels both easy and predictable. Let’s be honest, we all want fun cars, but most people can’t afford them.

The two-door grabbed hold of the American imagination shortly after its introduction in the 1950s and never let go. Across eight design generations, the car has evolved from a sporty roadster with some pep into an aggressively styled, mid-engine beast that can compete with the very best sports cars coming out of Europe. Although today’s C8 barely resembles the original C1, each version of the Corvette has been among Chevy’s most powerful vehicles, if not the most, and without a doubt, its coolest-looking model. Additionally, it incorporates an electronic limited-slip differential and an extra radiator to enhance cooling. The suspension features manually adjustable threaded spring seats, while Brembo brakes enhance braking performance. These vehicles are equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, with a 19-inch diameter in the front and a 20-inch diameter in the rear.
Everything wraps around the driver, including the infotainment screen and cascade of buttons mounted on the prominent partition. Add in their relatively high position and the vibrant all-digital instrument panel, and everything is easy to see and reach; at least for the driver. Being the passenger can feel like you're in a sidecar as you can barely see the controls let alone reach them. That goes for the otherwise user-friendly, feature-packed infotainment system. There’s a standard glass viewing panel over the engine on the coupe so you can see it in all its glory. It’s especially tasty with the standard appearance package on the 3LT trim cars, which add carbon-fibre bits on top of the bracing on each side.

Chevy would tweak the design slightly in 1991 to ensure the car didn’t get stuck in the prior decade, but the sleek design holds up to this day. It may have taken a few years, but Chevy cracked the formula during this first generation. The Corvette’s design has changed greatly over the decades and its engines have grown bigger and more potent, but by 1956, everyone knew exactly what the nameplate stood for.
That process will continue, i.e., every dealer will continue to have the ability to look at your order status on their software system. One physical button I appreciate in particular is the one dedicated to activating the front and surround-view cameras. It's easily accessible at the front of the center console, just below the screen. A lot of other vehicles hide this feature in menus which can be difficult to access quickly. I prefer this dedicated button that can be tapped for instant camera access and peace of mind when squeezing into a parking spot. Priced to compete in a class seemingly of its own, the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is a mid-engine bargain.

This video demonstrates the car’s raw horsepower and torque, giving viewers a sense of the incredible engineering that goes into these upgrades. Featuring the ‘H700’ Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray going head-to-head against a factory Corvette C8 Stingray, highlighting the differences in speed and overall performance. The rear hatch has a soft-close feature kind of like the doors on an S-Class, so when you gently drop the lid, a motor secures the latch with a pull. However, the hood doesn't share this function, which is a bummer.
The Corvette SUV will be an all-new model for the Chevrolet lineup when it goes on sale. Well, Chevrolet says it’s setting up a European-spec configurator for future orders, so you can spec yours to your hearts content much like the Americans have been able to do. But in terms of actually buying one, your only outlet in the UK is Ian Allan Motors, based in Surrey, as Chevrolet don’t have any dealers here – the brand withdrew from the Euro market years ago. There are always pros and cons of working with a local vs national dealer. As always, we urge you to do your homework, talk to fellow Corvette owners in your area to find out their buying experience, and go with a dealer that treats you the best. We post the Top 100 Corvette Dealers list because we believe it helps focus buyers on those dealers who are selling the most Corvettes in their area.
