Today is a special day. Today is my 1 year anniversary from being off methamphetamines.    I am so privileged that I have been saved by God and also have the support and friends that I have in order to get the help that it takes in order to better myself and my surroundings and advise others how bad of a drug that meth is.  It will destroy you before you have time to figure out what is happening in your life.  As soon as I get money I am going to get a necklace that has a cross on it and it has a 1 on it and for each year I stay clean and sober from methamphetamines, I will get another number.  Hopefully I will live long enough so I can maybe even have 2 crosses and possible 3 worth of sobriety.  I pray that I don’t miss a year either. It has been tough and it has been offered to me but I am blunt with my old user friends.  That I just can’t do it my body and mind can not take it anymore. It destroys you way to quick, and although I don’t care to live the longest life I do want to live a complete life.  I have figured out a lot of things about my personal life that I never knew was possible I am always the person to ask questions and express my opinion and to this day I am actually glad I am that type of person because I have seen more things than most people these ages and times.  Well today as I know I don’t have much going for me I am not worried because I know SOMDAY SOMEHOW it will pick up and I will experience some of the greatest moments in my life.  My motto is in order to experience the highest highs in your life you have to respect the lowest of lows.

Congratulations on being clean for 1 year...you should be amazingly proud of yourself. That is an achievement that is in no way trivial...you are a strong person and you are capable of being whoever you want and have the kind of life you deserve. Hugs!
