Well i have been offline for a bit and decided i needed a little daily strength to get me back on my feet.Surgery went well on my back.. as did recovery.. i have a little pain now but nothing like what i had before. My depression kicked into high gear recently because I didnt get a job i was hoping to, so now i'm stuck.. no work.. and par usual no one seems intersted in hiring me. It's really depressing. I started on Lexapro a few weeks ago.. It was great in that i didnt have that CONSTANT feeling of negativity and waiting for the other shoe.. the down side is i dont get out of bed now.. I'm TOO relaxed.. ahhaha.. so i stopped that about 3 days ago and trying to get out of bed and apply for more jobs.. Depression sucks

Depression sucks indeed. I also suffer from depression. Proper meds and exercise (especially really competitive court games like badminton, tennis and squash) helped me get back on track. Then the sciatica and arthritis hit. Chronic pain brings you down fast. I am doing ok, but there is nothing like the intense endorphines produced by sports, or your case, martial arts. I agree that experiencing deep depression \"for no reason at all is absolutely the worst. The job hunt comes a close second. Hang in there man.
