Today is an okay day. I am looking so forward to starting the IVF procedure at the end of this month. I even bought myself a kids' cat-shaped ice pack as my first shot accessory. Let's get this show on the road! My husband asked the other day, if this first cycle works, when would I technically be pregnant. I said I think it would be mid-September, though we wouldn't know whether it took until October. He said good -- he's just hoping that by Thanksgiving, when he cooks his famous turkey, he'll be cooking for me and a baby. He wants the "baby" (what -- 1/8 inch?) to have some turkey! That is so endearing. At the same time, he has one last test to do before the IVF, to make sure he doesn't have AIDS or Hepatitis. I was going to take him to get blood drawn, but he lost the prescription for the test. So today I called the clinic and had to go pick up a copy. Um, excuse me, but I wouldn't have lost the prescription. I mean, it's not like a kleenex that you stuff into your pocket and throw away! Arggg. When we start doing the shots, he's totally going to have to inject me, just so he has to do some of the work.

I never thought of getting an accessory for the shots! What a good idea! I start Lupron on Thursday this week...kinda nervous! I\'m not scared of the actual shots, but just worried about keeping it all straight!
I was wondering the same thing about when we\'d be actually \"pregnant\". I am so paranoid about thinking ahead and possibly being pregnant for Xmas this year, that I don\'t even allow myself to think about it! I am so glad you and your hubby can!
Time is starting to fly for me now, so I know it will be the same for you now too! Good luck to you!
I totally agree about him giving you the shots. That\'s really cute about Thanksgiving, it sounds like you hubby is excited.
When do you actually start your injections? I go to my RE tomorrow to get my treatment plan for my injections. I think I start them on Sunday. I\'m excited but really nervous. Is this your first time? Since we\'ll be going through it around the same time we\'ll have to keep eachother posted on how we\'re doing. Good luck to you and I hope you and the baby get to eat daddy\'s famous turkey also:)
