2-Week Pre-Op Weigh In

Today is my pre-op work-up with the pre-op nurse and my last pre-op visit with the dietitian.  I'm hoping and praying that my hard work these last 2 weeks is going to reflect on the scale because not enough weight loss is one of the few things left that can still pull me off the surgical schedule.
I've really worked hard and have actually lost quite a bit of weight...almost 20 pounds actually.  The problem is that I gained 7 pounds between our last visit and starting the pre-op diet.  Between, "Last Meals Syndrome" and stress over the surgical delay I found myself having to start from behind and catch up to the beginning before I could move forward.  So even though I've lost 17 pounds in 2 weeks the only difference the dietitian is going to see is 10lbs.  I'm praying it's enough!
I know she told me not to do the "Last Meal" thing but I think it was important mentally for me in preparation for this journey.  It wasn't like I cramming foods in my mouth as if I'd never eat again.  It was a process of saying goodbye forever to a way of life that was not working well for me.  So I said one last goodbye to Hong Kong Buffet, a tradition for me and the kids before going to the movies that probably racked up close to 4000 calories by itself.  The goodbye salute to Hong Kong Buffet was a salute to all buffets that are a slippery slope into obesity.  I had one last giant bowl of popcorn complete with all the butter I wanted and have yet to give tribute to a gorgeous rib-eye steak (fully approved by the dietitian) on the last day I get solid food before the 2-week liquids only diet.
This journey is not just a physical one.  The majority of it is mental.  One of the things I want to ask the dietitian is about a recommendation for psych support.  I really feel like it would be good to have in place before I hit the rough spots.
My appointment is in just a few hours.  My weight this morning is exactly at the goal weight I tried so hard to reach before my weigh-in.  Wish me luck!
