2 Nighter

Yesterday's drive between the river and the substantial hills which cradle this section of the Mississippi River Valley was somewhat etherreal with the steady rain and clouds of fog animating the valleys between the hills. I landed in the tri-state neighborhood of Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. The motel I sit in is probably the subject of many HOA discussions within the newer developments which have sprung up around it. Rightfully so, I s'pose. It is old and poorly maintained, but at least I have an outside entrance to my cramped room. I am relieved I donae have to pack for Destination Further this morning.

"Commitment" is the therapy echo which has been dominating my driving meditations in recent days. I am grateful to say that the echoes have been gentle. The mind-numbing thought loops havenae been present in long enough to tempt over-confident claims of cure of *just getting over ^it^*. Seems to me that my most colorful psychotic breaks were all preceded by that claim.

Commitment is a biggie within the personal psychosis nurtured in the travelling sex show I was raised in. That jagged line between "Working out problems" and "Forcing solutions" remains unclear to me, be it on the domestic drama stage or embracing road life. Chew chew. . .

For now, the sun is breaking through the lingering rain clouds. Think I'll go explore some of the wetland terrain of this bend in the river.
