2 more years passed with some positives and negatives
Well, looks like I come back every 2 years! I should have been back sooner. Allot has happened. 2013 was just ok. Ups and downs. My dad passed away in Aug of mesothelioma. That was a very rough time but I'm very happy I was with him and my mom when he passed over. The end of the year was spent taking care of my hubby and helping my mom adjust to moving to a new city after 47+ years.
2014 was a mind blower. My mom broke her hip in May. That was a very hard time. She recovered and is better.
Then one fateful day in late Nov my world changed. I had hurt my knee and during the night I passed out hitting my head and was taken to ER with heart problems. The next day I got a pacemaker with diagnoses of SSS, AFib, bradycardia. Had to spend the nights by myself at the hospital. Within a few days I went home.
Then on Jan 2, we had a bad storm. With a clap of thunder I was in AFib again. So back in the hospital. Given the dreaded AFib meds and blood thinners and stayed a night. Then to top it off wound up having my Gall Bladder out Jan 29. That sucked.
Then in Feb my youngest daughter moved home. She was pregnant with my first grandson. Yay. What an adventure and joy to go thru this with her. Colin was born July 12.
Shortly after finding out I was going to be a NaNa for a second time, my step son called and granddaughter #2 would be here in Oct. Juliana arrived Oct 7. I am truly blessed.
Then in March my hubby was in the hospital with Pancreatitis for a week. Then another stay a couple weeks later when his old pain mgmt overdosed him.
Then in June my mom fractured disc in her back and by middle of Oct had 3 procedures to fix 4. It's been rough going for her.
On July 11, just after my daughter's baby shower my new grandson decided to come 3 weeks early. Then 3 weeks after that she had to have kidney stones removed.
Then hubby had knee and shoulder surgery on Sept 11. He had one knee surgery on the same knee earlier in year. I can't remember the date. Boy that was a challenge.
So then finally 6 years and 11 days after my hubby got hurt in Afghanistan he had his back fusion surgery. It was out of town which was hard. He is now home resting and recovering in his other recliner in the upper den.
Three days after I get him home, my grandson was admitted with an infected abscess on his back. He is much better.
Here I lay in my lonely bed on my 52 birthday. Hubby is asleep in recliner, Colin is asleep with his mommy, and I'm thinking about everything that has happened in this last year.
I am very thankful we managed to get thru this year but I'm a lil worse for wear. Maybe I'll stick around more. I need some good mojo.
