2 months today!
Yes, today's 2 months gamble free. Well over the half way mark to achieve my goal being gamble free for 3 months. I guess I need to start thinking about the next goal - gamble free for a further 4 months. Breaking it up into managable chunks seems to work better for me. It's an important time because now is when you start thinking you can social gamble so I have to stay focussed. Part of my recovery was to get fit and to lose a few kilos which to date I have lost 5 kilos with another 10 to come! I feel good but know there's still a long way to go. I have been experiencing so many ups, downs and in betweens it drives me crazy sometimes. I just put it down to the recovery process because trying to kick an addiction of 15 years or so is bound to a massive effect mentally when you stop - just hope it gets easier! I hope all are doing well. I couldn't have got this far without the support of DS and my friends here so a big thank you to everyone. Bear from Australia!

Wow Bear, this is great. Hope your mates appreciate you now and are glad for you for all the more time you spend with them. I don\'t know kilos. I used to in Mexico but it sounds like a lot and that is really good. I does get easier but I learned one thing for sure and I would never lie to ya, there is no such thing as recreational or manageable betting for us. Once you get on that bus, you can\'t get off.
I know it so well because so many times I told myself I was going to bed 40 bucks and thats it and then leave a few hundred down at end of night and my savings acct empty. So keep on doing what you are doing because it\'s working. bear hugs from barb
Just one DAy AT a Time is a \'\'excellent simple goal for the long run I found. I just stayed into the day by day concept. For some reason it goes by faster for me. But hey that\'s me. LOL>.WTG on \'\'Weight loss/ working out/ manageging debt..
