2 Days into Mini-IVF

Well so far my mini-IVF cycle is not off to the greatest start. I started clomid on Monday and today I had a dull headache, my eyes felt heavy and towards the end of the workday, the headache had progressed into a throbbing headache. I contacted my RE's office and they suggested I stop the clomid if the side effects worsen. Tonight I start letrizole along with the clomid. I think I'm going to take another dose of the clomid tonight and try and deal with the headaches, because I don't want to give up that easily. I know it sounds silly, but I feel like a failure giving up on a medication on my very first IVF cycle.
Things have been very stressful with my mom being in the hospital and me not available to help her, and my family has gone into crisis mode. And then there's the gallbladder issue - probably removing it soon. I've been feeling very overwhelmed and emotional and overall just pretty low.
As always, wishing everyone all the best!!

I had awful headaches and night sweats when I was on clomid so I switched to just Fermera. I\'ve never done an IVF cycle, but I imagine the perceived \"pressure\" to follow every order is pretty stressful. Here\'s hoping tomorrow is better. For my clomid headaches peppermint tea or cammomile helped a bit. Good luck!

You have a lot going on right now. Every time I read a journey by my friends here on DS! The first thing that always comes to mind is, Look at what they are doing and going through, these women are so strong! So on days like today when you are thinking of everything going on with your mom, your gallbladder and IVF, just remember you are strong! I do hope your mom makes a full recovery soon, I can imagine that is weighting heavy on your mind right now. I will keep her and you in my thoughts & prayers!

You are not a failure, IVF meds are hard to take for everyone. It be great if we could make it with no side effects but I don\'t think i\'ve found that lucky girl yet. You just have to make it to the next day. It\'s the worst when you are on them but once you get to trigger, it\'s worth it.
Hope you mom gets better soon.
Good luck

Clomid definitely causes headaches, so so sorry. On top of everything else you shouldn\'t have to deal with them. I am proud of you for sticking it out though. Try to focus on you now and not think about your mom and what\'s going on. I know easier said than done, but this is your time and you need to focus on you.
I\'m rooting for you, and please remember the side effects will stop once you go off of clomid. Hang in there.

My RE had me on letrozole for my mini and I had no side effects, never had thankfully. With my IUI\'s I had 4-6 follies and IVF 3. Hoping she just lets you drop the Clomid--I never did well w/that either. GOOD LUCK!!!

I\'m sorry to hear about what you are dealing with. I can relate to not wanting to stop a cycle, even if there are side effects, etc. During one cycle, I had the shingles, during another, I had the stomach flu the day of transfer! Hang in there and I\'m thinking about you.

I\'m sorry to hear about your Mom and the side effects of clomid. I hope you have a better day today and no headaches! Your Mom knows you love her. Try and hang in there.

oh hopeful, so sorry that you are feeling so down. You definitely have your plate more than full. Maybe part of your headache has to do with thinking about all you have going on!! lol I know clomid causes headaches, I\'ve never been on the stuff. My RE had me go straight to the letrozole, which has minimal side effects. I can see where your RE wants you on both, for double the stimulation and to make sure atleast one of them work. Just remember, you are soo, so strong!!
