2 days, and I will be post-surgery
So I'm 2 days from surgery. Tomorrow I go on a total liquid diet starting after breakfast.
Before I forget, I wanted to provide my favorite link to a reproduction non-profit organization site with info on endo:
http://www.reproductivefacts.org/uploadedFiles/ASRM_Content/Resources/Patient_Resources/Fact_Sheets_and_Info_Booklets/endometriosis.pdf
I am much happier now. Scared about IVF and the surgery...but more at peace. Ready to move forward!!
I met with my new OB GYN today. He is not doing the surgery, but I really like him. I read that it is good to continue talking to a doctor about your pains and problems with the disease because 1. they can treat you if you consistently say "this is a problem" and 2. it is proof that there is a problem in case I run into problems at work.
So I told him about my pain and he was honest: we can't do much for you right now because you are TTC. You can take IB Profin until you get a BFP test, but that's about it.
And then we talked about work and he recommended NOT telling work. He said endo is the least understood disease and that people brush it off like they do IBS. I reminded him that I have IBS too (lol). He also said that for my brain fog days, exercise may help. Which is great news because that's what I've been using especially on those days. Then again, they still persist. Blah.
So all in all, an ok day. The countdown is on to surgery!!

I have to be there at 8:30 am tomorrow. I\'m a little freaked out but keep telling myself that its necessary and only temporary. We\'re strong women :)
Good luck on your surgery! I pray all will go well :)
Good luck!!!
