2 and a half days since bleed

So I am not really bleeding any more, except at night, during the day its just brown when I wipe. The midwife says to expect this for weeks to come and maybe some more bleeding and even some clots.
I saw her yesterday and she had a feel of baby and said its quite big, she said I feel clinically 24 weeks pregnant, uterus is up to belly button, although I am actually only 17 weeks. We found a heat beat and that helped me feel better. I managed to get some questions answered. The midwife thinks that sex almost certainly triggered this but it would have happened anyway so it is not the cause, just the trigger. She reassured me that it was unlikely to happen in another area but that it may bleed again from the same spot.
She is great to deal with and didn't make me feel like an idiot atall. I feel pretty proud of myself for coping so well so far, on the night it happened I was freaking out but I remember thinking, "right, this is happening, we have to deal with it" I didn't cry until the next day when I told my mum and I didn't spend all day in tears! I have had a few flashbacks since which have been quite scary but other than that I am quite put together about it all. Its amazing what you can deal with when you have to. The midwife says it will probably come back to bite me when my hormones get stronger and ill suddenly find myself in tears remembering that night.
I definitely feel like my confidence has been knocked though, I had just come round to thinking there will be a baby, and now I don't feel confident about that at all!!

I\'m glad things are looking so encouraging. But I can understand that this knocked the wind out of you. And has taken out some confidence. It is so natural to feel that way. It sounds like baby is growing wonderfully :) Thinking of you and sending good thoughts to you and baby.

So happy to hear that your midwife is go great! I\'m proud of you too for keeping your head up. This whole scare must have been really hard to heal with. I hope that the bleeding stops for your peace of mind. 17 weeks is fantastic!! And measuring above that is great too!

I am so sorry. it\'s really hard, when something like this happens, to get your confidence back. I had a cervical bleed at 7 weeks and worry about it happening every single day, and I\'m at 14 weeks now. it\'s awful, but just our reality, sadly. it is a very scary thing, seeing that kind of bleeding. thankfully, everything is look great. try to take it easy if you can. here if you need anything. xoxo
