I finally got to see my Jenna! It was such an amazing feeling to see her on Friday after work, the whole day leading up to the actual moment I drove up to her house I was excited and could hardly contain my happiness. When I saw her I walked up and gave her a big hug and kiss, I told her how much I had missed her and how much I love her.
I think this girl is "the one"...Three weeks without her and I was a mess, I felt sick, tired, depressed. That's how I know I want to spend the rest of my life with her, if I didn't feel anything when she was gone I'd think otherwise, but I'm pretty sure now.
She told me today her Dad is selling his house in Florida. Hard to believe since she was just there! I think she said his taxes doubled and he can't afford it, I'm not sure where he's moving too. She's a little upset about it because she doesn't know where he's going yet.
Honestly I'm not really too sold on her Dad, he's a nice enough guy, but I really didn't like him taking her to all those bars down in Florida without me, and I still can't respect a guy that cheated on his wife. But I'm playing it cool for now, letting some little things I don't like slide for the sake of our relationship. I'll talk if something bothers me enough, but for now I'm okay. Plus Jenna said he told her to take care of me, which I though was pretty cool. Maybe he doesn't want his daughter making the same mistakes he did...
On a better note, I'm taking her to Ocean City, Maryland in June, I just booked the hotel for 4 nights. Should be really fun I hope. It will be the first time we will really be on our own. I think it will go a long way to see if our relationship can work long term.
The one thing that is still really bothering me is this thing where when we are out in public she points out to me when guys are looking at her or checking her out. I know guys look at her a lot, but for whatever reason when she points it out to me it bothers me. I think its a guy thing where we get jealous or protective, or I feel she's looking elsewhere. She did it again this past weekend, and I actually stopped holding her hand and I walked away from her for a bit because its starting to get to me, I can't have her pointing this out every time we go somewhere. That could be what ended her previous relationships, I'm sure other guys got tired of hearing it. I'd hate to come off as an ass, but I think I'm going to have to say something...She can see I'm irritated when she says it because then she'll tell me don't worry I'm with you and try to reassure me, but by then I'm already irritated.
But still it makes me feel like she's saying oh I could be with that guy if I'm not with you, so I'm lucky or something. I get plenty of looks too, but I don't rub it in and make her feel bad. Maybe I'm overreacting, but if she's my wife someday she can't be doing that, that doesn't really show commitment IMO.
I'd really hate to have this end our relationship, but I can't have her saying that every time we go out, its just going to get old very fast, and I'm thinking that's what ended previous relationships if other guys think like me. The thing is she always says it when we are alone in public, so even if we are in a group, no one hears it. I just don't think her Mom or aunt would like it either, and they'd probably tell her not to say it.
Oh well, like I said if it really starts getting to me I'll have to say something and if it causes a rift, it causes a rift...All that said, I still love the girl, and she's still going home with me every night...
