Been a little while since I posted. I did go to the car show and it was really cool. Saw a lot of really sweet cars. First time I had driven into a major city, but me and Jenna did alright. It was a lot of fun.
This past weekend I spent with Jenna again for Valentines Day. Really my first true V-Day, and hers as well. It was so sweet and amazing, love was in the air lol. It was extremely cold so we did a lot of cuddling. :) In all seriousness, it was a perfect weekend, probably the best since we've been together. I just got home a few hours ago because I was off today for President's Day, so I spent 3 days with her, since I only see her on the weekends I really cherish the time I have with her.
Speaking of that, Jenna's cousin just lost her boyfriend to a heroin overdose, and though that was really his fault it got me thinking that life is so damn short and I don't want to waste a single second that I'm with Jenna because you never know. I told her that this weekend, that I can't imagine living my life without her now. God willing we will have many years together...
I also got my impressions done for my Invisalign braces, I have to go back March 11th for the consultation and probably fitting. It should work out alright.
In other news, I'm going to most likely apply for a second mortgage tomorrow or sometime this week. I just really want my own space and home now. I have the itch to move out, I get along with my parents and all, but I'm 32 and I think it's time. I'm just worried they will deny me because I already have a mortgage, but my renters pay that and almost double, so actually my income is more this time than last, plus I can swing the down payment. I do have some maintenance expenses, but they are not scheduled and just pop up, so I can't see how they can hold that against me monthly.
I do have a pretty big braces payment monthly, but I only have a few more months and that will be paid off, probably before I'd even move in. I'm also going through Quicken Loans again so if they worked with me on my investment property they "should" work with me again I'd hope, I haven't missed a payment either. So fingers crossed I'll have my new home by spring time or sooner! I just never get my hopes up or anything until I'm in the home. I love Quicken Loans though, they made it so easy the first time.
Where I'm looking, there are 5 or 6 condos for sale all under $150,000 with taxes under $3,000, which is really, really cheap for my area. And they are not selling, they don't accept dogs which is most likely why people aren't buying them. The location is perfect too, it would be halfway between Jenna's parents home and my parent's home.
But I'm pretty excited about the possibly of getting out on my own. I just hope my investment property doesn't prevent me from getting this next mortgage... :(
