1st Ultrasound
Got to hear the most beautiful noise in the world today...by sweet little baby's heart!!! Our eyes were overwhelmed with tears of joy and DH could not believe we got to hear the hearbeat so soon. In fact, he asked the DH to "do it again"....haha! I measured 6 wks, 2 days, which is exactly what I am on paper. The heartbeat was 121 and my RE said that was good and strong. So I get to go back OBGYN next visit at 8 weeks and I am sooo thrilled about it. The drive to Little Rock was getting really old although I will miss everyone at my clinic. I told them I would make a special trip back up there to show off the baby they helped create:) I felt a little nauseous this morning for the first time and I'm not sure if it was m/s or the huge burn I got from the pool yesterday. Yes, the white body thought it could w/stand some sun for 2 hours yesterday and now, I look like a lobster!!! I'm pretty pissed that I let myself get so red. I can still hear my mom yesterday in the back of my head "you better get out of the sun and not get my grandbaby so hot....you need to be wearing some sunscreen.....is it okay for you to be laying on your belly like that, you're not smothering my grandbaby". Gotta love her though!!! I've been sleeping none stop these days...just can't get enough of it. Oh, and since the fertility shots caused me to gain like 10 lbs everyone thinks it's cute that "i'm already showing"....uggghhhh. Oh well, I can always loose it when the baby gets here. That is the least of my worries right now. Sometimes, no actually more than sometimes, I have to keep reminding myself that I'm pregnant. Will it ever really sink in???? I'm still praying for all my special gals to get their miracles soon....Dorothy, Sue, Sungyshine, Jennifer, Jenn, Felecia, Lara, JamieLynn, Karen, Amy, PrioleauLuv, Kelly, Marianne, Suzanne, Mia, Anna & Kim....I am praying for you hard and know in my heart , you will all be mommies one day. Shannon, I logged on this morning just to check in and see if you had any recent updates. I\'m so excited to read this journal!!! We have all bee through SO much and it is such a huge thrill and inspiration to see a \'sister\' finally receive the blessing and joy of hearing your sweet babies heartbeat! :))) How awesome!
Please, please keep updating us. I know it\'s hard to believe and you have to keep reminding yourself- but you are!!! :)
I\'m glad you won\'t have to keep commuting back to LR. It will be nice to be back with your obgyn. Everytime I pass my ob\'s office I say, \"OH, I can\'t wait to just be back there with Dr. Wiist.\" His whole practice is phenomenal and it\'ll be nice to be back there one day. I\'m so thrilled that you will be back at your\'s in just TWO short weeks. Yeah!
Get lots of rest. I hate to sound like your mother but I\'d ask all the same questions. Hee, hee! Be careful. xoxo

That is amazing!!! Congrats!!! Sorry you got such a burn, but you were helping your baby get his/her vitamin D!!!! They say it is very important in pregnancy:)Enjoy every moment!!
That is fantastic!! So glad you got to hear the little heart beat. I don\'t think it really set in for me that I was pregnant until we were evacuated for the hurricane and I got put in the hospital... I guess I just kept thinking I was getting super big. LOL. Or maybe it was the moment when the Dr. came in and said I am taking them tomorrrow...... we wait so long for it, and it still never feels real, or to me it didn\'t

Shannon - I am SO excited for you. Words barely express it. It is such a miracle and you and your DH have been through SO much. It is amazing how much this IF journey humbles you and I think, as a result, we are SO grateful when our dreams do come true and that our hearts just explode with love when we finally see our little miracles up on that u/s monitor. I am so happy you were finally able to experience those tears of joy with your DH. Know that you will continue to be in my thoughts and I am so excited to hear how your pregnancy progresses. XOXO

That is so great Shannon! That is so cute that DH wanted to hear it again. I think it will start to really sink in once the baby starts to really stick out ;-)
