1st Socket Info

Help: from preacherdave,     I am finally about to recover from my one fall (busted stitches, infected, now about to close up- 4 months).  I spoke with one CP who says that he molds the socket by digital computerization, which measures pressure points, which will customize the fit of the socket the first time.     To me, this sounds too good to be true.  When I was in rehab after the amputation, another CP claimed that he could fit a socket on the first (by heating a plexiglass socket) or second time.  His method required the patient to tell where the pain was felt, so it must be by trail and error.      Has anyone heard of this digital computerzation fitting socket?  I am very interested because this may be the way to go- if it is possible to get a custom fit.  Thank you always for your prayers.  God Bless you,  preacherdave
