I was reading about what people do for their depression and it seemed like the thing that seemed to work consistently for people was exercise. I decided I was going to take a walk. Now I think about taking a walk a lot but rarely do. By 11:30 pm I hadn't yet and was thinking here we go again think plan then don't do. I was telling someone on the phone about it and said "I guess I still could" So I did! At 10 mins to midnight I took off bundled up in sweats mp3 player cranked up and walked briskly for a half hour without stopping. About 15 years ago I walked every day without missing a day for about six months. But when I missed a day I never did it again. I would like to be able to walk 3-6 times a week without getting hooked into that "all or nothing" trap.
