1st - 12/11/13

I have just joined the group and this is my first journal entry.  After what seems like forever I finally received my surgery date yesterday.  I am having the RNY on February 6th.  My husband and I are taking this journey together but his surgery is not until April due to another surgery he has to have first.
My doctors told me many years ago to have this surgery but I did not have insurance that would pay for it.  I finally have the insurance I need and have been slowly but surely moving toward this for the past 8 months. 
I am very excited...nervous...concerned...I have every emotion in the book, but I am very much looking forward to this new portion of the journey...
