post....

there's this co-worker who is kind of a friend of mine and she's been working out and losing weight and stuff.....she's been posting things on facebook about losing weight and going to the gym and eating healthy and stuff....she just posted something today about how everyone should eat healthy and how everyone should go the gym.....i feel like she's criticizing people for not working out or not eating right......well i'm sorry that my body isn't feeling great, but i'm not gonna wear it out further by working out.....i'm doing my best to keep myself healthy.....right now i'm working on my mental by making myself actually EAT so if i'm eating a whole bag of chips it may not be the healthiest thing, but thank God i'm at least EATING.....i'll work on the healthier stuff as soon as i get back to eating.....i just don't like the way that she makes me feel even though the post wasn't the post wasn't directed at me speicifically

Im sure that co-workers posting was annoying. When people get enthusiastic about their own \"good thing\" they so easily want to inspire others without managing to realise that their \"good thing\" might not be good for some other people and could even be detrimental. Good for you for taking a stance to protect your own health.
I dont think Ive been quite in your situation but I used to get influenced by generalisations and statistics - the sort the media likes to use - \"In the West/this country we all eat too much sugar/fat/meat (or whatever) and we dont eat enough fibre/fresh vegetables/fish (or whatever)\". We have to distance ourselves from all these generalizations about diet and lifestyle but they do tend to shout at us!

You are taking it way too personally and I do this too! I\'m finally gaining weight, but at the gym, in the locker room, I felt that others were staring at me, because of my bones. Maybe they were, but my therapist reminded me I have no idea why they are looking and maybe i\'m overly sensitive. I probably am so I choose to try to hide behind a locker door sometimes. I post stuff like that on Facebook and never once thought maybe I was making someone else feel bad? Hmmm....

Currently I am waiting for someone to comment on my weight gain so I can get overly sensitive and go into a tailspin myself. We all have our issues, huh?
