Tuesday evening Eve's mom called. Eve's dad has had a heart attack. They are in the South Bay area (San Francisco) and we are in the Phoenix metro area. Right now he's not in any immediate danger so we aren't going there right away, but her mom's letting her own care go (she's hypoglycemic) and Eve's worried about her. Her mom forgetting to carry her cell phone with her doesn't help either. Eve's not lost any close family before, so this is hard on her. Now you know why I've not been around right now. Seems like it's one thing after another, doesn't it? (sigh) Bless your hearts, everyone. Keep up those great quits. :)Shevie

Ouch! Please give Eve a hug for me. My hubby had a heart attack a year ago last November. Three stents later he finally woke up to the fact that he couldn\'t eat all the crap he wanted and exercise consisted of more than flipping the remote controller. (I\'ve been a vegetarian for about 20 years)I hope you don\'t wait too long before heading north to see Eve\'s folks. They may have several good years left but seeing them will ease a whole lot of worry. Besides, San Francisco is gorgeous at this time of year.
