it's wednesday afternoon it is warm outside i have 3 beers in the fridge.. i really really want to drink them.. i mean ireally really do!! how can i knowing what i know??? it is freaking insane!!!
This too shall pass. If you want to get to the other side of this feeling, YOU HAVE TOO let this pass. I have been sober a little while BUT i still remember those feelings. Let them go. Do something else. I have NEVER heard anyone say \"it got better\"
You will be in my prayers. YOU CAN DO THIS
Get rid of those beers and pour them down the drain for one thing!!!Please call someone and get to a AA meeting for the support you need and pray. Ask God to give you strenght to get through this desire to drink. Try to get involved with a hobby to get your mind off of drinking. Get on this site alot too. It can be done but just take it a step at a time. It won\'t get better immediately but it will get better. Please keep the faith and stay strong. If you need support please feel free tom contact me. I have been through this for years and I had to have Gods help with this as before I always tried to do it alone without anyone. Yeah right it;s too hard and it\'s too stressful too. We don\'t have to be alone anymore.lol
Sweetie, please get rid of those beers. Pour them down the drain, you have been tortured by them for 2 days, SO not worth it.
You want them because you\'re an alcoholic, it makes absolutely no sense how badly we want the drink but it is what it is. Have you contacted your local intergroup for an AA meeting? There is plenty of support in AA.
Like everyon said, pour them out, they do torture you sitting there, we all understand that one.
A.A. really helps me to live sober now. A meeting leads to another and another and if you manage to really take in the suggestions the obsession for the drink will leave you. It happened for me, just give it a chance. I totally identify with where you are right now. This can change and will if you are open and willing to try a.a.!
One day and one step at a time.
Good luck
\'How can I knowing what I know\' Well, that has to do with powerlessness! You are experiencing what is known as the mental obsession. You said on your discussion post that you know you will not drink the beers, but if you are an alcoholic, you cannot say that with any certainty. Please get rid of the beers and get to a f2f AA meeting. being in an online AA group is fine if you cannot get to many meetings, but PLEASE get to at least 1 and get a sponsor to take you through the steps.

That\'s why most of us have found peace in AA, takes away the obsession and compulsion to drink.
