I told my line manager about my SI last night and today she called to see how i was but not only that she had spent the whole morning phoning round and researching it so that she had a better understanding and to see if she could find me a support group. She was horrified that the nearest group was over an hours drive away! There is nothing in my area not even much in the way of counselling. She said she had sent off for four parcels worth of information and material so that she can display it and try and make more of an awareness about it in the area in which we work. Because of the type of work we do and the area in which we work in she said it would be good if the other workers had some trainning in it aswel.  I couldnt believe how much work she had done on my behalf this morning she has really gone to town on it and taken it really seriously. I felt really loved and worth while.
