I have continued on my decision to remain centred, peaceful and

to keep my heart open no matter what. Wow, what a challenge,

but very worthwhile!!!I have learned so much about what triggers

my strong feelings which leads me to feeling depressed, dissatisfied

and not good enough.

I noticed that situations happening now  bring back negative thoughts

of past hurtful events. Thinking about these events brings my mood down

and changes my mood. I need to develop stronger control of what I allow

myself to think, only positive, encouraging and joyful thoughts. I need to

live in the moment more, experiencing every moment and person as they

are in the now!!!

Highlights of the week:

Boss: I told her last week about what I truly thought about a tough

assignment  that is coming up for me. I want her to know

that I have concerns. She came back and told me that she

gave the assignment some thought and is here to support

me as much as possible. I felt very uncomfortable to be

validated in such a positive way!!!

Accquaintances: Continued to greet everyone I met with at least

hello. I controlled my thoughts about not being

liked or accepted. I said to myself that what is

important is that I tried to be friendly, I need to

                         detach from the results.

Neighbours: I have had to manage my painful feelings about my

perception of  being treated coldly by my neighbours.

I know that the 15 years of avoiding them because of

my social phobia has ruined my relationships with them.

I know it is up to me to try to improve things but how?

Family and friends: Many of my family members are in pain in some

way or other I have had to manage my worry

and upset about their problems I struggle to really

be their for them in the here and now and relate to

them in a loving positive way while trying to encourage

them to think creatively and use problem solving

techniques to  improve their lives. My challenge is to not

let my own anxiety  and tendency to become depressed

                              be activated!!!

THE JOURNEY CONTIUES, I AM LEARNING ALOT AND MANIFESTING MORE OF WHAT

I WANT IN LIFE: PEACEFUL AND LOVING PECEPTION  AND RELATIONSHIPS

MOST OF THE TIME. MANAGING MY PAINFUL FEELINGS AND THOUGHTS, REMAINING

FORWARD THINKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING ABOUT MY PROBLEMS.SLOW

BUT FORWARD STEPS FORWARD.

PEACE AND MANY BLESSINGS TO ONE AND ALL!!! smiley-laughing.gif

For years all my neighbours thought i was very stuck up. I was just too shy to talk to them and that made them dislike me. I\'m much better in that respect at the moment. You seem to know what you\'re doing and what you expect from yourself. Good luck with it all. Sending love and light your way. x

Ida, god bless you angel :)

You deserve the very best in life. You deserve happiness. :)

Thinking positive is key, to opening many doors that lead to happiness. :)

surrounding our thoughts, with positive thoughts. dwelling on the negative, can really bring spirits down, can make us feel sad, it can change our moods, but thinking positive, uplifts us, makes us feel good about life, makes our moods and spirits, bright. We all have the power to think positive. We evict the negative thoughts, and welcome in more positive thoughts, we can fine, that many of our ways, can be bright, sunny, and happy. :)

i wish you the very best with your assignment Ida. i\'m very proud of you. You inspire me, and i thank you, for doing so. :)

I am also constantly being inspired by you Ida! I too have avoided talking to my neighbors for years and consequently I don\'t really know them very well. I have talked to my new neighbors and waved at them, but I am not sure I will ever be friendly with the neighbors I live directly next too(too many bad vibes between us), but I guess people can always change and perhaps we will one day become friendly. :0]

Universe, I have enjoyed your words here. I would like to share with you how I work with negative thoughts and the feelings underneath them. When I find myself with a negative thought...I strip the words off and notice the feeling. by closely observing the feeling I do not repress it but rather make a picture of it or assign it with words such as...tight, restrictive, heavy, pins and needles..anything that it feels like and I stay away from the message. Then as I allow the feeling to exist...I tolerate them..I do not run from them...If I am sucessful I can cry and then I also can recall another sort of feeling when I was proud or strong. I gently remind myself that this is not all of me and that it is not the truth for the day..that it is historical feelings that came from a time and place when I didn\'t know what else to do. but now since I do know what is the truth...I can look at the feelings as not a fact for the present. Essentially I do not give all of me to the negative feelings...Am I successful...about 50% of the time, maybe more. I just keep doing it. Love, pageo

An inspiring post. Thank you so much. I battle with the negative thoughts constantly, and feel like I\'m doing so much work trying to replace them with positive thoughts and feelings and action. I didn\'t realise how negative I was until I started really living in the present moment and being aware of what was floating through my head and the associated emotions! It\'s hard work, but we\'ll get there with baby steps. :-) x

You ask \"how do I do...\" about you neighbors. It\'s not about doing, it\'s about being, just like with casual acquaintances. Next time you see them, simply smile and say a positive hello, without fear or regret. Don\'t let past memories bother you. It doesn\'t matter if it\'s been 15 years or 15 days. A friendly hello is always welcome. Hugs, Oli

It seems as though you are on the right journey, at the right time. Little steps forward will take you to your goals. I think you are very courageous and self reflection has helped you to understand your world more. That is tremendous work. You are accomplishing great things so be very proud!! With the neighbors...I don\'t know how honest you would wanna be but maybe in a card for the holidays you could say something about being thankful for living in a neighborhood where you have felt safe because of them or something like that. I don\'t really know them or the situation to give advice though. I hope you continue to grow, learn and improve and connect!! Take care my friend!!!

What an inspiring post. I dread neighbours speaking to me and always hurry from my car to my flat wishing i were invisible, they probably thinks i\'m very rude.
