Finding inner peaceWell, I had one week of vacation and now have been back a week!!!I have learned a lot about myself and the direction I wish to go lately. When I was on vacation I keep it  quiet and simple and so I hada lot of time to think. I realized that I have packed a lot of activities andresponsibilities into my life which translates into a lot of pressure anda lack of time. This translates into feelings of being overwhelmed whichthen means I react to things many times in a negative way. This leads tofeelings of self criticism, low self esteem and disappointment in the way Iacted.                                      Inner peace comes from within,                                     not from without.(p.s. This is From: Living with joy by Sanaya Roman)                                                                                               I have strengthened my meditations on this idea which means maintaining anddeveloping the peace that is in me and keeping my heart open. This means keeping my heart open and loving no matter what another person does, nomatter what occurs to me, or what happens in my career. I want to choose tofeel peaceful no matter what may outer life looks like. I will keep you posted on what I discover about myself and life on this path.I hope you are all well!!!with peace and friendship, Ida.

That sounds so wonderful. I\'m very happy for you. Peace really does come from within. Stress comes from outside, and we can do without it. :) Love, Oli

I liked your entry. So...maybe you need to re-evaluate your life and simplify it. Do something you really enjoy, even if it means less money. Life is too short...I hope you find your true, lasting happiness - you seem to be a really neat person...keep searching! Peace, Kat

Yes, this sounds a bit like me, too - packing it all in and creating more stress and pressure. I love the idea you\'ve presented of choosing to feel peaceful no matter what the outer life looks like. Would love to see how you go with this path, and I\'ll see how much of it I can adopt too. With friendship, Emma. x

Yes, I need to remember this. Everyone needs time to rest. Even God rested. :)

I agree with this. We put too much pressure on ourselves, we need to take time out to ponder things and look around us more. Feel the peace within us. Take care x

My 12 step program says the same thing. Happiness does not come from what others do or say or from what happens around me. Happiness is the result of being at peace with myself.
