I WANTED TO SHARE THIS STORY WITH YOU ALL!!!The Golden BuddhaA group of Buddhist monks had to move their temple to a new location. That meant a giant clay Buddha statue had to move too.Afraid the statue might be damaged, the monks went to great care in planning the move.Unfortunately, as the crane was lifting it, the clay statue began to crack. The head monk had it lowered to the ground to inspectthe damage. He looked into the crack and was puzzled to seesomething shining. He began to chip off the clay.Hours later, he found the Buddha was solid gold beneath the clay.Apparently, it had been disguised centuries ago to keep it safe. The statue is now estimated to be worth $200 million dollars. One of the monks later said,"This statue is like many who hidetheir golden essence within. The goal is to remove the clay of fear, and discover what you really are inside."--Jack CanfieldFrom Chicken Soup for the Soul with Friendship and Peace always, Ida.
