This week all the school age children went back to school here in Toronto. I have mixed feelings

because this means that my regular work will be part time again. When I think of work it brings up

the dilemma I have had for a long time. I what to work full time now because I would like to earn

more money. On the other hand I really like the staff I work with and the children I look after. I am

fond of them and I am use to them. I feel a lot of conflict over this whole thing and anxiety. Finding

and working full time will take me out of my security zone and put me back in a area of uncertainty.

This really terrifies me but I want the options and peace of mind more money will bring me. I will

posting about this issue as I get into it. Your support would be appreciated.smiley-laughing.gif

I suggest you keep working part time at this job while looking for a second part time job. Once you find one, that would give you the extra money you\'re looking for. It\'s just a thought. I know that anxiety can get in the way of looking for a job. I\'m there now! Have a really good weekend, Oli

If you can get by on part time and are happy with that, stay. If you want more money and want to move on to more responsibility, take the full time. If it is FEAR that is holding you back...fight thru it, you will grow - may be uncomfortable, but who knows where it could lead you. Just remember we are only on this earth, in this life once...make it good! Peace, Kat

Wow, that\'s a dilemma. I like both Oli\'s and Kat\'s response. I understand the need and desire for more money and the security it brings. I also understand the incredible desire to stay where you feel safe and secure and are happy, which is very important when it comes to working and staying at any job. But if it is only anxiety keeping you back, perhaps you will have to fight through it. It\'s always hard in the beginning of any new job, but you can grow to love it! Good luck and Blessings to you...TheresaK

Hi Ida,

This is pretty much what I am going through (internally) at the moment, as well! I have yet to have a full time job; and, while I no doubt NEED one (if I ever want to live in another place other than my parents house :)), I am very anxious about the prospect of having and keeping one! But, as katsmeow put it...\"fight thru it (fear), you will grow\"! Please take good care of yourself and yours, love! I love reading your journal entries! BIG peace to you and yours!
