The road to self love even when the outside world does-not love you
I have always been a sensitive person, a bit too sensitive.
I absorbed all the energy around me like a sponge. No wonder I was a very tense
little girl who never slept. I was so sensitive so hard on myself. Wow if I was ever to
make a mistake no matter how small, I PUNISHED MY SELF. I MADE ALOT OF THINGS MY
FAULT. I could not take anything, if people were cruel to me, did not want to be my friend, ignored
or criticized me. It meant something(they could see what a loser I was inside). Needless to say
these tendencies and beliefs drove me crazy and made my life very uncomfortable. I tried to protect
myself in a variety of ways -which lead to more suffering.
INNER STRENTGH
After being on journey of self discovery for a while now. I have discovered that it I ever want to be
a happy confident person I need to develop an unshakable love and healthy regard for myself
despite what others say and do!!!!!
Furthermore I need to respect all people and other forms of life, and treat everyone and everything
with this same respect. I need to let people be who they are, and not let their changing words and
actions bother me so much!!!
Reaching peace of mind one situation and day at a time!!!

Very well said. Peace of mind and serinity are very important. It\'s ironic that we have to build walls to protect ourselves, then have to tear them down to be able to enjoy life more.
Thank-you for all that you said here. I can relate to how you felt as a child. As a child I remember laying awake at night worrying about everything(including death). I have always been TOO sensitive for my own good. I also couldn\'t take anything(still have trouble with it)-cruelty, criticism,etc.. These tendencies did and still do drive me crazy and make me uncomfortable. I admire the way you have turned things around for yourself and gained inner strength. I really, really need to do that-IF I love myself and have a strong snese of inner strength then maybe I won\'t be so bothered and uncomfortable. You got any tips?
It sounds like you have done some very hard work. Good for you! You are right on. Go, girl! Love, Joan
so very proud of you Ida! very inspirational. :) Thank you, for sharing this journal entry with us. Inner strength is wonderful, and i am so glad your inner strength is building and building a wonderful foundation of confidence. :)
That is wonderfully said. Again you are a great inspiration, always giving me some positivity for the day. I think you are completely right that life should fall into place more when we learn to respect ourselves and love ourselves even when the outside world seems to be pressuring us to do otherwise.
I can relate quite a bit to what you are saying, universe! Thanks for this journal entry! Please take good care of yourself! Peace!

Very inspirational....................
Wonderful positive affirmations! You inspire me! Susan
Wow!! We seem to be in a similier place and your thoughts about people thinking and seeing you as a failure are things that I am trying to shake as well. I especially loved the inner strength part that you wrote. I have one person in my life that I have conflict with and it\'s hard to accept her and respect her... and let her be who she is. I have struggled for many years and lately have come to believe the horrible things she has said about me. I struggle with wanting to make peace with her and wanting to seethe forever. Thanks for posting these thoughts!!
The red paragraph is me exactly the blue is helpful and inspiring ty for posting it.
