What I learned from facing my life! smiley-laughing.gif

Once again I surprised myself and things went much better than I had anticipated!

My son is having a good time with his friend, it been a long time since I have seen him so content,

he even went out with him on two short outings.

Going to High Park never turned into an issue because after we considered all the factors( the heat,

expense and the lateness of the hour) we agree not to go.

Best of all the outing with my friend went very well. It was like the old days again. We clicked again

the conversation was free and easy. We were able to help each other out. I helped her with her

harvesting, we talked about what was on our minds, we were able to have a evening non alcoholic

drink together.

Why this is such a big deal to me as that the last few times we have met she has suddenly become

argumentative with me and I felt put  on the spot. My anxiety skyrocketed at that point and my

avoidance tendencies kicked in. It took a lot of perseverance for me  to call her again. Glad I did

since I knew I was taking it too personally and seriously.

See it paid off immensely ! I hope I can move forward from this positive experience and try other

challenging social situations. I'll keep you posted.
