Facing my life with couragesmiley-embarassed.gif

Lately I have been throwing out stuff. Yes, I am slowly giving up much of the stuff I am keeping for the following reasons: 1) What if I need it today, tomorrow or next week - 10 years from now?

                            2) I remember when things: my parents gave it to me(even though the  stuff

is not my style and decades out of style). My kids made it for me( every scrap                                  of  paper they even put a mark on???)
                            3) Receipts and old papers( what if the tax department wants to know what my

                                 grocery bill was in 2000???)

Ridiculous as it may sound it is hard for me to part with things. I think it was because we never had much when I was growing up and this is how my parents managed to survive. But this is the now and it is not necessary for me to have so much stuff - so painful or not out it goes!!!

I need to start living life with confidence and positive

                                       expectation and today's the day!!

Its not ridiculous. We have a tendency to want to hold on to the past, and we just accumulate things. I know what youre going through. Youll feel much better once youre done.

I went through the same thing 2 years ago and still throw alot away. I went to flylady.net and got on board with her decluttering step program. Hope you have a good day.

Thanks for your comment I will check out your suggestion!!!
More troublesome to me than the mess is dealing with the fear and feelings
that come up as I go through the process. Have a wonderful day!!!

I am exactly like that, potential value and sentimental value.
