My story
My name is Angela and I am 41 years old. I was 39 when I first noticed symptoms of my disorder. I did some pressure washing so I thought I had tendonitis until it didn't go away. My arms were very tight and when I would try and put my palms down on any surface and bend my wrist, my fingers would curl up. I have more of a problem with my left arm than my right. I had a patch of skin that turned hard and white and kept getting bigger. It covers most of my upper arm on the back side. My hand has a discolored area which hurts to the touch and is shiny. I also have patches on my right upper arm now. My hand and fingers are swollen every day and I take ibuprofen to ease (but not eliminate) the swelling and pain. I recently found out my liver is enlarged (not sure if related yet) so I need to find another way to control the pain. The bad thing is I have no health insurance so I have no treatment.
