You know, my stbx has completely devestated our family. We are getting back into a routine and back to school and Sara plays volleyball and Wes plays Football. It has been hard doing everything for them on my own. Although I had little support when Glenn was here with all of this, the responsibility of it ALL can be overwhelming. I have been very proud of the way I have handled everything that needs to be done...and done it very well I might add. On Monday night, my son said he wanted to talk to me. I was happy as they dont like to talk about the situation very often. He said that dad was going to buy him a dirt bike, and build a new house, and wanted Wes to live with him. Now mind you, he cannot even take care of himself let alone anyone else. I never would have believed that Glenn would use the children like this. They are twins, have been together since birth, and as long as I have a breath in my body - they will never be separated. What 13 year old would want to pass up the opportunity to live with no rules and basically make all their decisions. He is living in town with his grandparents for God sake. Well, that nights discussion did not go well - very emotional and hard for me to maintain, so I did the best I could and told Wes that he was staying in his home with Sara and I and that he didnt have to like that decision but that was the way it was going to be. I went to counseling on WED - the day after, I already had this appointment set up. The most telling thing she said to me was that alot of times when a parent is desparate and start using the kids, the child - having been abandoned by one parent, needs the reassurance of where the other stands. Long story short, Wes and I talked again last night - a good conversation. He said I dont tell him anything about Dad, and I dont unless they ask because I dont want to hurt them anymore than they have. He asked if he was still with her because he said he was not. I said he was, I have evidence to that fact but did not tell him that. Then he asked if I know for sure that he brought her to our home. I again told him the truth. It is so hard for Wes to even imagine his dad lying to him and even harder for me to tell him that - but as a mother, I told him that I would answer any question he had with the truth as I have never lied to him and I am not doing to start now. I also told him there are alot of things that I will never be able to tell him because they are adult issues and he needed to know that too. Now, to Sara - after the initial conversation - Wes came in and told her about dads offer. She told him he was crazy to even think about that. The kids have felt like Glenn doesnt even want them because of the lack of time he has seen them over the last 7 weeks, but can you even imagine how Sara felt - She said that she doesnt even want to live with dad - but my heart breaks in half for you as Glenn did not even mention her in his DEAL. I could even see if he wanted both kids, which he doesnt as he has proved, but to pick one over the other with complete disregard for their feelings - I will never forgive him. I can only imagine that Sara thinks that Dad doesnt want her at all. We talked yesterday and she is reassuring me that it is ok because she has no desire to be with him, but she is almost 14 and I know it broke her heart. I truly believe he did this to intentionally disrupt our lives again as he is the one having a hard time and not us. I also believe he used our children to upset me because he knew it would.....and it did. The outcome? Wesley told me last night that he does not want to live with his dad and he was sorry because he believed what his dad told him. Now he knows that his dad has lied to him. That will take a longtime for Glenn to repair - if ever. I was proud of myself - I could have yelled or whatever to Glenn. Instead I texted him and said "you have used our children and my lawyer will be informed as will the judge". It is so hard not to just blast him. I just keep telling myself that is what he wants. He wants to upset me - and I swear - I will not give him that satisfaction. I have tried to be nice and offer a buyout...etc etc etc // He keeps this shit up - he will end up with NOTHING. Well, I sure needed to get that out. I feel much better now! Oh, I have also decided that I am not meeting with him in 2 weeks with lawyers. I think it best maybe a month so he really gets the picture of what his life will be like taking care of his family financially. We cant do anything in the court for 60 days anyway, so I think I will continue to live the good life...and for him? Who really cares........................

You handled an unbelievably callous powerplay very well. I can\'t understand a parent using children in that way. You should be proud of how you behaved tho, your strength is really coming through now.
I think you handled it wonderfully and I\'m truly amazed you didn\'t blow up at him. But just keep handling things that come up like that and you will be amazed at how quickly the kids will realize that you are doing the best for them.
You have been strong and have shown those kids you\'re there for them in every way! Schedules can be overwhelming but take advantage of little windows of time to make time for yourself. Years from now you and I will miss the activities! As far as Glenn, this move is completely twisted and it sounds like you handled it calmly and reassured both kids.
That must have been unbearable. I bet your heart felt like it was going to burst out of your chest when Wes said that. I\'m so proud of you, you always know the right way to handle things. Your children will soon see their father for the sort of man he really is. kids are often far more insightful than us adults. Keep strong honey, he is not going to beat you, he WILL get all he deserves.
You are doing a great job handling everything. Your children will understand and see the whole picture. My wife is a twin and there is now bond great than a bond between them. Your stbx has done a huge amount of damage to the children just by leaving. I hope he understands the consequences of breaking up the family.
