Day 6 :(
Having a hard time today, everything makes me feel tearful. I dnt know what Im feeling, Im numb, and being at my mums, where she has lots of codeine is hard. Its hard when she is taking them for her back when I can see her. She dont understand the addiction, to her me not taking them is nothing. She dont understand how hard I gotta try to not take them. Its just like a normal day for her. Its hard not having any support from family

That is tough! .. Have you thought about maybe going to a support group or NA meeting? It often helps to have a strong support system of people who share in your addiction and can identifiy with what you are going through.. as well as any feelings you might be expereincing with your withdrawls right now.
Individual counseling ( often offered for free through mental health clinics) is a great support system as well, as it allows you talk about many of the emotions that come up along the way such as greif, anger, acceptance, pain.. ect.
Just try to remember that Addiction, like anything else, is a disease, kind of like Cancer, so it\'s difficult for others to relate to what we are going through unless they have personally experienced it. Imagine how we would relate to someone talking to us about their expereinces with cancer and chemotherapy. We would probably be sympathetic, but not have much understanding beyond that.
Continue to hang in there.. and know that you are VERY STRONG, and you should be VERY PROUD of yourself!!!

Yes, There are NA meetings in GRB BTW. This site should help you find one near you. If not let me know. I did a simple google search for NA meetings in GBR , but i\'d be happy to find one for you , if you send me more specifics.. i\'m not that familar with GBR stuff.
