Been awhile!

I am still doing pretty good on the Sinemet.  It worked really well at taking the tremors away when I first started taking it and only took 1/2 pills, but they started up again I guess as my body adjusted to it.  Then when I increased to the full pills, the tremors went away again at first, but have returned again.  BUT I am NOT complaining as they are WAY less than before I started the Sinemet.  And most importantly, everything else, my stiffness, the dystonia pain, & my balance are so much better now than before!
Still having some problems sleeping, but attended a support group where that was the topic and now have some ideals to try.  I will be writing a post on my blog about the info I learned and will let you know when its there so maybe you all might find something that helps.  I think this is a huge hurdle for us.  I know my husband was surprised that almost everyone in the support group was also having problems with sleep.  I think he thought it was just me!   That alone was worth going for!  lol
I hit my 2 year diagnosis anniversary this month.  It's hard to believe its been that long already, and then again it seems like it was a life time ago.  I was remembering back to when I stumbled upon this site and how wonderful everyone was to me.  I didn't want to go to a live support group as I didn't want to see people with the disease, it was too frightening for me (or at least I thought it would be at the time).  Anyways - DS was a GOD send for me and has been a great support ever since.  But I wonder about some of the people who were here then and have since gone silent.  Desert Rat, Newnonnie, Markramos to name a few, - I wonder how they are doing and hope they know I am grateful for their kindness and help while I adjusted.
I am especially grateful to all of you have stuck around and kept supporting me and for those of you have joined this site since then looking for your own support and giving support to the rest of us.  Everyone here has helped me in some way or another and I thank you all for your friendship which I treasure!
Big group Hug!!!

I have to agree with you on the dailystrength being a great group. I use to go to support group. I find it easier online. We get to meet people from round the world.
I\'m sticking with you here. Yes, I wonder where some people have gone. Maybe taking a break. Glad your doing well. Hugs Brian

I love this journal!

It shows you are doing well, feeling good. Pro-active as ever, joining groups, finding better strategies and passing on information. Considerate, caring and compassionate to other group members who are not as vocal as they once were. Appreciative, understanding and supportive of all of your friends.

It sums up who you are perfectly and you are not only an asset to the group, I am fortunate enough to call a friend. \'Happy\' (doesn\'t sound appropriate) 2 year Anniversary CM!

LOL - You cracked me up with your \"Crappy Anniversary\" comment to one of my journal entries. Guess it\'s my turn to say \"back atcha!\". LOL

You have no idea how many times I will be talking to someone at work, my best friend, or family about PD and will say \"You know...my Friend from my online support group?\" By now they all know just who I am referring to, though they\'ve never seen your picture or actually read a thing you\'ve shared on this site. They know we are somewhat close to the same age....and, they know you are a couple of years younger (I believe in honesty, after all. LOL) They know our diagnosis came within a couple of months of each other. They know we will probably never meet face to face - that\'s how our group works. And, they know how much I value you and your contributions to our group!!!

Recently I was thinking \"how would my support group know if something happened to me?\". I know there are members I honestly worry about when they don\'t post for a while.

My Dad passed of a massive heart attack at age 39 (while sleeping). Learned a lot from that experience. I have kept a \"Funeral File\" in the top drawer of my file cabinet for years. My family knows that should something happen to me, they are to grab that file. (Probably too late to rename it \"Celebration of Life\" file or something with a more positive take....they wouldn\'t know what to look for! LOL) Over the years my file has changed. I\'ve kept my instructions to my husband on how to raise two little girls in there (including who should take them \"back to school\" clothes shopping, etc.), though they are now independent young women 28 & 26. I was just telling my hubby that I am going to put my login information for this site in my file. I want him to make sure the group knows if something happens to me. Something to think about.

I am so HAPPY the meds are making a difference in your life! You certainly deserve that. (I\'m going to check out your blog for sleep info. Certainly could have used it a couple of weeks ago when I went for too many nights with 2-2 1/2 hours of sleep!)

That\'s a great idea about the file\'s. I have made contact with a few people from dailystrength on facebook. That\'s another way of knowing when things happen.
