Year 9 has come and gone. Thank you for the hugs and your continued support and love. I did okay...kept busy doing yard work and being outdoors.
Sadly, just 5 weeks ago my sister Nancy joined us in losing a child. Her oldest daughter Leigh, just 38 years old, died of complications of abusing her body with drugs and dirty needles for the past 2 years. Her body was full of infection to where it destroyed a valve in her heart and was literally eating through her lungs. She was admitted into the hospital the 29th day of January and was there until she died the 14th of April. It was a long, hard battle for my sister. She and Leigh had been estranged for the last 2 years since Leigh gave birth to a drug addicted baby boy. We all hoped that after Leigh had Beckett that she would get help and get control over her life, but that didn't happen. Her younger sister has had guardianship of Beckett since he was about 4 months old and just days before Leigh died Jenna adopted Beckett.
That makes all 3 of us sisters having lost a child...all in the last 9 years. At least we are able to really understand and be there for each other, even though that is the last thing we would have ever wanted.
I am not on here nearly as much as I have been in the past, but I still check in and think about all of you so often. I love you all and appreciate your friendship so very much.

So very sorry to hear about Leigh. Hugs to you and all your family. Love you, Ann
I am grateful that you navigated as best as you could and I\'m sure that being outside held you. Being in nature does that for me...
I am SO sorry about your sister\'s loss and to think that the three of you walk this path together, yet as you said you can BE there for one another in ways others could never be.
I think of you as well and am so grateful we were roomies in NC and then had some shared time in Boston. Those are special connections indeed.
Gentle care dear friend and again, I\'m so very sorry about your niece, Leigh. Such a deep sadness, indeed.
Much love Clinton\'s mom from Douglas\' mom,
XO Joanie
I am so very sorry for you and your sisters to have this bond to share. I hope that Clinton is giving you a hug on this horrid journey. Peace, Kathy
I send my prayers for your sister,, how sad.... love and hugs to you dear friend!
I am so very sorry for your sister. How sad that all three of you have lost children - sisters in sorrow.
I am sorry I missed Clinton\'s Angel Day. I am useless at remembering dates. It is a mental block of some sort! Just know I do care.
As for you not being on FMO very often, it is not a problem. You are busy living your busy life. I don\'t post journals as often either. It just means we are living life and Clinton and Lisa would want us to.
Love and tight hugs, Marlene
((((hugs)))) Vicki
I\'m so sorry about your niece... I cannot fathom how you are all coping... all of you sisters having lost a child.. awful..
hugs on your having survived Clinton\'s Angel Day.. I think I dread that day more than Jenn\'s birthday.
Such sad news to hear you\'ve lost another family member. Drugs are so horrible. To know that a mother won\'t give up drugs for her child lets you know how very powerful they are. I too have a family where children have been lost. My grandmother, my mother, my aunt and me have all lost children. So surreal. Year 9 is coming for me on Monday. Someday\'s seems like yesterday and others, so long ago. I\'ve only made it with you wonderful ladies helping me every step. Much love. Robin
Lynn, I am approaching 7 years in September since Ed left for Heaven. Year 9 for you. Wow! Such a long and hard journey. I am glad you found things to keep your mind occupied on sweet Clinton \'s angelversary.
I am so very sorry for the passing of your niece Leigh. Heartbreaking for your sister and all who love Leigh. Too much tragedy for one family. Gentle hugs and love to you and dearest Clinton, Linda
Lynn, I am so sorry that I missed your dear Clinton\'s 9th Angel Date. I haven\'t been on DS all that often although I keep meaning to. I hope and pray that you are doing well. Also, please accept my condolences on the loss of your niece. My heart goes out to your sister and your family. So very tragic and sad.
