They found my nephew's body yesterday...Easter. He was tangled in some bruse that was on a sandbar that had been underwater until just recently when the river was lower than it has been since February. It is a good thing to finally be able to have closure, but it is also a finality that is so hard to accept. He was a remarkable young man, not perfect of course, who is, but the pleasure of watching him mature and becoming settled into his calling in life and his understanding of just what was important to him was a blessing and inspiring. I continue to try to reassure my sister that although the pain and the empty place never goes away, it becomes more managable as time continues. You do see beauty in life again and there is nothing wrong with that. My grandchildren have also suffered another loss that has really shaken them. They had a year old Westie and Saturday he managed to get into their pool and drown. We as adults can talk to ourselves and reason that this was a dog, but to children who just lost their Daddy not quite 2 years ago it is quite devastating. Again and still I try to hold them and comfort them as much as humanly possible. I wish you all peace and love and send prayers for strength. Thank you for always being there for me. Clinton and Ethan, we all miss you so much. You were wonderful young men with so much potential, with lives that were cut entirely too short. I will see you again though! That is a promise that I believe with my whole heart!!!
